Tomáš Vlasák

Tomáš Vlasák, Czech nationality, born in 1961, employed at the CzechInvest — National Investment and Business Development Agency, is an economic development specialist with 25 years of experience in consultancy in these areas in Eastern Europe (the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Kosovo) and Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan) with 5 years of service as city official. He is skilled in FDI attraction services, in SME development, in facilitating economic development strategic planning processes for both municipalities and regions, in analyzing the local business climate and in implementation of economic development projects. His areas of expertise include economic development, innovation policy, SME development, strategic planning, analytical studies, and delivery of training programs for business and local government representatives. Currently serves as director of Regional office of the Agency for Pardubice region.
He is responsible for general improvement of business climate in the country and region, for assistance to start-ups, SMEs, exporters and existing investors. Responsible for after care services and investment incentives. Organizing and running seminars and workshops for SME’s (such as Enterprising Women in Pardubice Region and Social enterprises in Pardubice region); innovative companies, HR managers or financial managers; lecturing for university students (University of Economy, Prague; University of Pardubice) and cooperating with Pardubice Business Incubator P-PINK.
In his everyday work he and his office always try to build bridges between government and businesses. Current pandemic situation represents challenge and also opportunity to update methods of communication with relevant partners and offer new services to business clients. CzechInvest from the very beginning is well known for its innovative approach to business climate improvment, Mr. Vlasák contributes to Agency best practice with new ideas.
