Jakub Szymik
Director, Campaigns at CEC Group
Jakub is a lawyer and political consultant specialising in grassroots campaigning and movement building. He works with multiple international brands, social organisations and activists on channelling citizen and consumer engagement into political and social impact.
His experience includes working for the European Academy of Diplomacy, Allen & Overy and the Polish Institute of Economic Studies. He is a graduate of the “Democracy Gene” programme of the Bronisław Komorowski Institute. Jakub remains actively engaged in the debating community in Poland; a recipient of a World Debating Council scholarship, enabling participation in the World Universities Debating Championship. He also led workshops at the College of Europe, The Good Lobby, School of Leaders and the Demagog Foundation.
After hours he unwinds by playing Debussy’s piano pieces, swimming and taking care of his plants.
